Greater London Authority Headquarters

This is the HQ for the mayor of London and 500 staff, it is situated right on the south bank of the river Thames. The design is a modified sphere using 2100 tons of steel for the structural frame and 1950 tons for reinforcement. The Architect is Foster and Partners. This modern building has green credentials using triple glazed glass, and water from the water table below for cooling the building and later on for flushing toilets.
